9 Holiday Hacks to use on your Holiday.

How to get crease free clothes without using a iron

Many people don’t like to take an iron with them on holiday as it can take up much needed space in your suitcase. When travelling to Magaluf one of the reps showed me this method to get creases out of my t-shirts without an iron.

First you need to go in your bathroom and put the shower and taps on the hottest setting and let them run. This will create a steam room in your bathroom. Get a coat hanger and hang your t-shirt up in the bathroom and shut the door. Leave for 15 minutes and the hot steam will get all the creases out of your clothes.

Take a pack of anti-diarrhea tablets

Many people get an upset stomach when they are abroad due to the food, drinking the tap water or consuming large amounts of alcohol. If you take a pack of anti-diarrhea tablets which you can pick up for £1.25 at any supermarket it will solve your stomach problems. Take one a day in the morning on your holiday and enjoy a healthy stomach for the rest of your holiday.

Pack your case like a pro

Below is a video on how to pack your case to utilize the space

Pack an extension socket

With this hack you only need to pack one travel adapter so you can plug in your extension socket to the wall. This allows you to utilize 4 plugs sockets at once.

How to get your suit case first at an airport.

Are you sick of waiting for your luggage when you land at an airport? Is it usually the last case to arrive on the conveyor belt? Well this hack will make you get your luggage first.

If you mark your luggage as ‘Fragile’ by sticking a note on your case it will make sure that the airline handles it correctly. Your luggage will be kept at the top of the pile because of this and it will be the first to be released.

Use your phone to watch films on the plane

This hack is what I use every time I get on a plane. Download Tubify via the app store which allows you to watch You Tube videos on your phone without being connected to the internet. Download any of your favorite programmes you can find using your WiFi at home then you can watch the programme when you’re not connected to the internet using the app.

Mini TV screen on the plane

Take a sandwich bag with you on the plane. Put your phone in the bag and attach it to the tray in front of you. This allows you to watch programmes on your phone without the need to hold it. See image below

Use the "Do Not Disturb" Sign for Security

If you're staying in a hotel somewhere and don't want to leave your expensive stuff alone with the cleaners, just keep the "Do Not Disturb" sign outside your door for the length of the trip. They won't know if you are in there or not. If you need your room cleaning just leave bin bags of rubbish outside your door and they will take it away.

Talk to the cleaners for extra items

Many times I have shared a hotel room with 3 of my friends. Let me tell you stuff like towels, bedding and toilet roll get used up very quickly. When I see a cleaner walking around with her trolley I just walk up to them and ask for more towels, bedding and toilet roll. As it is their job they usually just give me what I need. If I see another cleaner with a trolley I usually do the same thing.
